Map 1 is of Belize, showing the location of the cayes, Lighthouse Reef and the other offshore atolls. The inset shows the location of Belize in central America.

Map 2 is of Lighthouse Reef, showing the Blue Hole, Lighthouse Reef Resort on Northern Caye and the other cayes. The principal diving sites are shown with red arrows.

Map 3 is of the cave on the west wall of the Blue Hole. The data was taken from a survey by Andreas Matthas and Terrence Tysall. The exploratory guideline is shown in red, with triangles marking the individual survey stations.
