The Winds Return

Tuesday, May 9, 2000 – The weather has won again. The winds are blowing at a steady 20 to 25 knots and the seas are reported at 6 to 8 feet. We are taking advantage of the day off to rest and clean our gear as well as transfilling some of the supply cylinders. As usual, we hope for tomorrow, but the end of the expedition is closing in fast.
